Starting Results with one database
This section describes how to start Results from your operating system using a single database in single-user and in multi-user mode. Note the following points:
- When you start Results with a database in single-user mode, no one else can access the database you are using.
- When you start Results with a database in multi-user mode, more than one user can access the same database. To start a database in multi-user mode, you must first start a server for the database, as described in the "Starting a server for the database" section. Type the appropriate multi-user startup command at your operating system prompt.
